Apple and White Chocolate Crumble
Ingredients (serves 8)
To make this Apple And White Chocolate Crumble, you will need:
- 75g caster sugar
- 650g apples, cored and thinly sliced (approx. 6 apples)
- 100g plain flour
- 100g unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 150g white chocolate chips
- 150g oats
- 200g brown sugar
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C (fan-forced 160°C). Toss sliced apples together with caster sugar and place into a medium baking dish. Set aside.
To make crumble mixture… Place flour into a bowl. Add butter and using fingertips, rub in until combined and the mixture resembles fine bread crumbs (you can also put flour and cold butter into a food processor and mix to achieve same result).
Add chocolate chips, oats and sugar to flour mixture and stir to combine.
Evenly sprinkle the crumble mixture over the sliced apples. You can sprinkle cinnamon over the crumble to taste if desired.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until apples are tender and crumble crisp and light golden. Serve with cream or ice cream and enjoy!
You can easily change this recipe to suit your tastes or the fruit that is in season. Try replacing half the apples with raspberries or strawberries and using dark chocolate chips or try using apricots or peaches and using milk chocolate chips.
